As part of the “powering down” taking place in my life as I pack up my apartment and prepare to go overseas, I’ve cancelled the internet at home. I’ll have regular access at my early morning coffeehouse visits and at my evening library ventures. I just won’t be quite as swift with my email and comment responses.
Interestingly, this will be the first time I’ve lacked internet at home since… 1995. I was twelve. That’s one half of my lifetime ago!
As always, I’m available by phone.
Edited:
Okay, so it turns out I’m only internet-less for a few weeks. It’s still the longest I’ve ever gone.

I vote as a libertarian influenced by Hayek and Burke, and I think as an anarchist guided by the biblical principles of liberty. I have fenced foil in a diaper-suit and run for political office in a skirt-suit, but my shoes were always fabulous. Both dreadful politics and inspiring design are likely to make me teary.
